NGP Polymers GmbH Successfully Completes the “BASE-Lipid” Research Project

After three successful years, NGP Polymers GmbH has successfully completed its first research project, “BASE-Lipid.”

The project focused on the development of biodegradable, safe, and efficient specialty lipids for innovative lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulations in mRNA therapeutics. By optimizing and scaling up synthesis processes and further developing the performance of analytical methods, NGP Polymers GmbH made a significant contribution to improving the quality of specialty lipids – a critical factor for polymeric excipients in the pharmaceutical industry.

The project was funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and carried out in collaboration with ISAR Bioscience GmbH, Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg, Friedrich Schiller University of Jena, Evonik Operations GmbH, and Bayer AG.

We would like to thank all our partners for their trust and cooperation, and we look forward to future joint innovation projects
