Start of construction at the “lab2fab” startup incubator at the Landgrafen Campus
The Friedrich Schiller University Jena is beginning construction on the new “lab2fab” startup incubator on the Landgrafen Campus, which will offer a total of 4,680 square meters of space for high-tech startups by the end of 2025. The goal is to translate research findings into marketable products more quickly – from the lab directly into production. The city of Jena sees great potential particularly in the field of polymer science and believes the investment of 21 million euros will further strengthen the location. The new center will house companies such as NGP Polymers GmbH, with its innovations in pharmaceutical polymers, as well as the planned transfer center for sustainable polymers.
